The West Point Pickleball Club Is Open for Membership

After months of planning, the West Point Pickleball Club is officially open. Membership is free and open to USMA graduates, current cadets, faculty, staff, and anyone who supports West Point and the sport.

Our founding mission has three pillars: connect USMA alumni on and off the court, promote pickleball for cadets at the Academy, and help fund the sport so the next generation of officers has access to it. We're early — which means you get to help build what this becomes.

Head to the registration page to sign up. Membership is free, and joining now puts you on the ground floor of something that's going to grow quickly across the Long Gray Line.

Class of 2001 Reunion Tournament — November 2026

The club's inaugural event is set: a pickleball tournament alongside the Class of 2001's 25-year reunion at West Point, November 5–8, 2026. Think of it as a golf outing, but with more dinking and considerably less slow play.

All skill levels are welcome. Every participant receives a custom club hat. Details and registration will open later this summer — sign up for club membership now to be first notified when registration goes live.

Get on the Net: Join the GroupMe

The club's primary communication channel is GroupMe. If you're a member and you're not in the group chat, you're off the net. Members use it to organize pickup games, share event updates, and connect with other alumni in their area.

You can join directly through the GroupMe link on the main page. No rank required. No PT test. Just download the app and get in the chat.

Why a Pickleball Club for West Point Graduates?

MAJ Doug Miller (Ret.), USMA Class of 2001, built an adult league, a youth league, and charity events in Columbus, Georgia — and found that pickleball kept drawing the same type of people: competitive, community-oriented, and always looking for a reason to show up again. After a visit back to West Point, the idea clicked into place.

USMA graduates are spread across every state and dozens of countries. They share a common language, a common background, and increasingly, a common sport. The West Point Pickleball Club exists to connect those dots — and to give cadets at the Academy access to one of the best sports for lifetime fitness and camaraderie.

Membership is free. As Doug likes to put it: you already paid for it with the best years of your life.
